Quality Death/Thrash Metal band hailing from USA that released one reh/demo in 1989, "Into Darkness" demo in 1990 and this single on French label Thrash Records (one of the best underground label in France in the early 90's) before splitting and reunited under the name Sathanas in 1992. Sathanas was active between '88 & '90 and a few guys talk about BATHYM as a break of Sathanas members. If someone can light story......leave comments!

Before Jim Morris 's Morrisound Studio become the best studio place to record Death Metal at the end of 80's /early 90's that was a place where Heavy Metal bands recorded their songs! Pre-SAVATAGE's AVATAR is one of them and result is that single released on Par Records in 1983. Three songs later released on SAVATAGE's classics "Dungeons are calling" and "Sirens".

Featuring "Black ice" and "Noonday" (which was also featured on Neat's 'Lead Wight' sampler a few months later), these songs are included in the 'Noonday-The Anthology' best of/compilation CD released in 2003.

Do not confuse with the N.Y. based Rigor Mortis who later became Immolation. This one is from Texas and has released 2 demos, 2 albums and 1 EP. Here's their first demo simply called "Demo 86" and recorded on September 14th, 1986.
I'm searching for their "Demons" demo 1988 so if anyone can share it it would be really wonderful ! :-) (leave a comment)

I think that is the gig from where they've picked up both songs "Cave of Steenfoll" and "Walpurgis night" for the "Heavy Metal live in Germany" sampler LP. This is a bootleg recording and the sound isn't perfect, anyway I guess every Metalhead that love the old feeling of this legendary band must have that one at home.

The rip is from an audio tape and there's 2 songs cut off but I'm not responsable of that...they're cut off on my copy too! Anyway....ENJOY!!

Originaire de San Francisco et existant depuis 25 ans déjà, Brocas Helm à donné son 1er concert en Allemagne à l'occasion du festival K.I.T. #1 en juillet 2003. Pour avoir assisté à ce festival je peux vous dire que lorsque Brocas Helm à délivré son set j'ai totalement oublié tout ce que j'avais vu avant. On sent bien toute la maturité du groupe et la maîtrise de leurs instruments respectifs font que les musiciens de Brocas Helm ont délivré un set de très haute qualité, le bassiste Jim Schumacher étant un spectacle à lui seul!! Ayant revu le groupe sur scène un an plus tard à l'occasion du Headbangers Open Air, toujours en Allemagne, j'ai eu la confirmation que ce groupe est un monument sur scène. De plus les musiciens n'hésitent pas à venir dans le public pour discuter avec les fans. Le son du bootleg est de bonne qualité, ce qui en fait une pièce indispensable pour tout fan de Brocas Helm.

SAVAGE GRACE - Demo 82 + Live Los Angeles 1984

Groupe culte de la scène de Los Angeles, formé en 1981 et disparu vers 87/88 après avoir pondu les excellents "The dominatress" et "Master of disguise" puis avoir ralenti la cadence sur "After the fall from grace" avant de sombrer vers le commercial avec un maxi 3 titres "Ride into the night" plus que dispensable. Pour les fans du "vrai" Savage Grace, puissant, racé et épique, voici leur démo de 1982 et un live bootleg enregistré au Roxy Theatre de Los Angeles le 30 janvier 1984, avec Kenny Powell à la guitare, celui-ci partira ensuite former le non moins cultissime Omen. A noter que Kenny n'était pas encore dans le groupe lors de la demo 82.

Groupe Danois trop vite disparu après un 1er mini lp fabuleux "Evil's message". Voici un témoignage live avec tous les morceaux du mini lp + une bonne dizaine restés inédits. Le son est celui d'un bootleg donc pas exceptionel mais pour tout fan de ce groupe qui se respecte ça reste largement audible.

Groupe de San Antonio, Texas, ceci est leur 1ère demo et contient 6 titres de Metal dans la pure tradition américaine, à savoir riffs gallopants, chant haut perché avec un petit côté épique dans les compos. Le groupe a réalisé une seconde démo en 1987 avec un autre chanteur, si quelqu'un a cette démo je suis preneur ;))

SATAN'S HOST est un groupe américain comprenant dans ses rangs Harry "The Tyrant" Conklin, chanteur dans JAG PANZER et qui pratiquait du pur Heavy Metal avant de se séparer vers 87/88 puis de se reformer dans les 90's en tant que groupe de Black/Death Metal. Ceci est un enregistrement live datant de 1986, le son est de moyenne qualité, enregistré à même le public mais c'est un document plutôt rare alors ne faisons pas la fine bouche ;))

J'ai décidé de créer ce blog afin de partager une partie de ma collection avec des metalleux du monde entier passionés par ce que je considère comme du Real Metal, ça peut-être Heavy, Death, Thrash, Doom ou Black mais ça reste réel et intègre. Ici vous ne trouverez pas de néo-metal ou autres gothic, emo, metalcore.....pas plus que le dernier album de Maiden ou Priest car je privilégie l'underground et les enregistrements plutôt rares, demos, concerts, répéts, autoproductions, etc.....
